Disney World’s Magic Kingdom—the first place most families take their youngsters for such classic attractions as Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and Snow White’s Adventure. Don’t miss Space Mountain, Disney character parades, Adventureland, and the many different shows and exhibits.
Disney World’s Animal Kingdom is the largest of the Disney theme parks and features animals—real, imaginary and extinct. Headline attractions are Dinosaur, Kali River Rapids, and Kilimanjaro Safaris, which takes you on a ride through a real wildlife preserve where you can see gazelles, elephants, giraffes and more.
Disney World’s Epcot Center offers younger children front-of-the-park Future World attractions, such as Honey I Shrunk the Audience and Mission: SPACE, which is a simulated astronaut-like adventure. World Showcase is more suited to adults, where you can tour 11 countries in one day.
Disney’s Universal Studios offers exciting rides, shows, and character meet-and-greets. You can even participate in re-creations of popular television hits, such as “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,†complete with the show’s well-known dramatic lighting and hot seat.
Sea World in Orlando is a theme park with thrill rides that rival Universal Studios and Disney World. It’s also the world’s largest marine park and home to the famous killer whale, Shamu. Across the street from Sea World is Discovery Cove, an exclusive resort that limits daily attendance to 1,000 people, providing guests with the chance to swim with dolphins or snorkel in a quiet and intimate setting.
